Diamonds and movie star lifestyle aside, the Lyken HyperSport can set pavement ablaze. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.7L flat-six that produces 780 hp and 708 lb-ft of torque. The builder, W Motors, claims the Lyken HyperSport has a top speed of 245 mph. It will jump from 0 to 60 mph in a scant 2.8 seconds and will hit 125 mph in just 9.4 seconds.
This had a heavy impact on the brand as a whole, hence they decided to pull a somewhat unorthodox move. The new Buick Regal that goes under the Sportback moniker is now a hatchback. The Euro-styled intermediate will also be available as the TourX wagon, while the good old sedan remains a Chinese market exclusive.
The 488 J50 is powered by a 3.9L V8 equipped with two twin-scroll turbochargers. The powerhouse produces 661 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. The twin-turbos help thrust the 488 J50 from zero to sixty in 2.9 seconds and it can run the quarter mile in just 10.45 seconds. Run it flat out a bit more than a quarter mile and you will hit the top speed of 205 mph before you know it.

On top of that, it can send 100% of that 70% to either of the back wheels independently, making this car one hell of a cornering machine.
The HCCI engine doesn’t use spark plugs for ignition since such lean fuel mixtures can’t be ignited by them, but the SkyActiv-X tech does. Mazda’s new engines manage that by using a second dollop of fuel that isn’t as lean as the primary air/fuel mixture. This secondary mixture gets ignited by a spark plug, raises the cylinder pressure and, in turn, combusts the primary mixture. The new engine tech is promising even better efficiency and more power, but it seems that engine noise may need some more fine-tuning.
