For the sake of clarity, our list of hot cars encompasses everything…recently built supercars, classics, and; because it is a genre that many of our fellow gearheads are passionate about, we will include several classic muscle cars. Really, it covers anything that might capture your imagination and make you dream about hot cars, fast women, and places where you can enjoy both.
Evade has been judged to within 1% of perfection at numerous shows, including 995 out of 1000 points at the 20th Annual Eckler’s Winter Nationals. Not a bad feather in the cap of used engines.
The Ford Mustang Boss 429 is one of the rarest of the hot cars on our list. In fact, it is one of the rarest muscle cars ever built. There were only 1358 built in 1969 and 1970. The Boss 429 was built for racing at a time when Ford was getting its ass handed to it in NACAR’s Sprint Cup Series by the 426 Hemi-powered Chrysler cars. At the time, NASCAR rules required that an engine used in the Sprint Cup Series had to be fitted to at least 500 cars sold to the general public; thus, the Mustang Boss 429 was born!
The Hayabusa is the king of cheap speed it’s the fastest cheapest stock vehicle ever made. That’s not surprising when you consider they used engines with a 1300cc displacement, the size of many small car engines. The difference is your Fiesta doesn’t rev to 13,000 RPM.
This one may be one of the most interesting entries on the list. Sure, it sounds dull, but many did report that package delivery can be fairly lucrative. It is almost a running gag on the Internet that UPS drivers can earn $70,000+ per year. I am not sure if it is true, so please do share your experience in the comment section.
The hatchback first appeared in Europe during the early sixties, and some examples even date back to the late thirties and pre-WWII. It took them a while and a little bit of good fortune, but they finally migrated to North American markets in the early seventies. Of course, global downsizing in the car industry imposed by the oil crisis of 1973 played a major role in that; suddenly, the practical yet cumbersome station wagon (mostly powered by V8 engines) became a heavy burden on the average car owner’s budget.
The new car will be slightly longer and wider, and it’ll sport an entirely new interior something past generations have struggled with. What’s more, the Blue Oval will source the hatchback from their new assembly in China instead of building it in Mexico as was originally intended. The current Ford Focus is still being built in Wayne, Michigan.
The powertrain lineup should remain the same. This means that all Ford Focus hatchbacks will continue offering EcoBoost engines. The sporty ST model should be available straightaway, but the RS might skip MY 2019 altogether. The question that remains unanswered is: will the Blue Oval stick with the 6-speed automatics or will they offer something more complex in that regard? That’s something we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out. For now it would seem they’ve played it safe, but that doesn’t mean the new model won’t be better than the current Focus.
Used engines from Hayabusas go for about $3000, or about $1000 less than what you can get an entire bike for. Like the LQ4 from earlier your best bet is to buy the entire thing if you can, that way you have everything you need for the swap into…
Sure, it weighs in at nearly 4,000 lbs, but it’s no slouch. Speaking of the SH-AWD (SH stands for Super Handling), that’s the model you’ll want to go for. It features some really intelligent engineering that allows the car to cruise at highway speeds with a 90/10 front/back power split, but can allocate up to 70% of power to the rear wheels for acceleration. On top of that, it can send 100% of that 70% to either of the back wheels independently, making this car one hell of a cornering machine.
The Lamborghini Veneno is a modified roadster version of the Aventador that is sharply focused on one thing…flat out speed. The car makes no pretense of having any other purpose for those rich enough and brave enough to own one. Lambo went all out, powering the Veneno with a 6.5L V12 capable of 740 hp and lowering its weight to just 3,280 lbs.
Lucky for me somebody with more money already had that dream, and they made it happen with one of the best used engines available. Diego Loza built this mad machine around the mill from an AP2 S2K. Underneath it’s way more Honda than BMW, but nobody’s complaining because this thing looks mean AF. I suspect purists miiiiiight not like it, but f**k haters.
The 2019 Honda Fit won’t offer any substantial changes, but the small hatch has become much more advanced over the years already. With entry-level models starting from just north of $16,000, the Honda Fit is definitely one of the best buy options currently available.
Nevertheless, driving jobs like this do not require a lot of qualifications. Some do require a commercial driver’s license or Department of Transportation certifications and physical strength. Really, physical strength you have to be able to deliver that 70 lbs package to the door with a smile on your face. More on that on the application of course.
