See, some can earn $300+ by placing advertisements on the car. Will they look a bit cheesy? Well, probably, but that is what it takes for an additional $300+ per month. Actually, I am not sure this fits this category of driving jobs as it is actually a marketing job. However, it could be good for you if you need some additional funds in your account. Google companies that would pay for this kind of advertising; they are out there.
Some of these used engines are more common than others, but the only real limitations are your wallet and your imagination. Without further ado let’s dive in to some of the best used engines available, broken down by country of origin.
On top of some truly wonderful styling, the 1968 Hemi Road Runner had a 426 cu.in. engine under the hood that pushed out 425 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. The standard gearbox was a four-speed manual with an Inland shifter, but Hurst shifters were phased in after the first few months of the 1968 model year.
While driving fine cars wearing white gloves may seem awesome, you would also be responsible for maintaining the fleet of automobiles, running various errands, and keeping all of the registrations and insurance coverage current. A lot of work for sure.
Powered by an updated version of the 8.0L W16 found in the Veyron. The Chiron features four turbochargers and is capable of 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. Peak torque is available at 2,000 rpm, helping the Chiron achieve a 0 to 60 mph time of just 2.4 seconds. In tests, the Chiron has hit 250 mph in 32.6 seconds. While the top speed is electronically limited to 261 mph, Bugatti believes an unfettered Chiron can reach 288 mph.
The Land Cruiser was offered with both petrol and diesel engines, which also caused the name to vary a bit here and there. Not all models are FJ40s, but the FJ40 is arguably the most iconic, which is why it’s listed specifically. You’ll want to look specifically for the 2F engine, offered in post-1975 models, as this 4.2L gasoline engine is good for 135 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. There are quite a few diesel options as well, which make an average of 94 hp and 159 lb-ft of torque.
We have covered a few North American hot cars, but we haven’t covered a North American built supercar. The one that comes to mind immediately is the Ford GT. We say North American built because the car was designed in the U.S., but built in Ontario, Canada.
Setting that aside these are some of the most reliable used engines available today. Shit, you can build them to over 900 horsepower (turn your sound down). Problem is, they don’t easily fit in most other cars. But you can easily put one…
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that used engines from Pontiac sedans can fit in just about anything that uses a transaxle. It’s also one of the most common used engines in the world with over 25 million produced to date. It’s been rated one of the best engines of the 20th century, so yeah, it’s reliable.
Lucky for me somebody with more money already had that dream, and they made it happen with one of the best used engines available. Diego Loza built this mad machine around the mill from an AP2 S2K. Underneath it’s way more Honda than BMW, but nobody’s complaining because this thing looks mean AF. I suspect purists miiiiiight not like it, but f**k haters.
In other words, the 2019 Honda Civic Type R won’t be bringing any unnecessary changes. For around $34,000, you’ll be getting a whopping 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque courtesy of a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which generates 23.2 psi of boost and redlines at 7,000 rpm.
According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, “the best-paid drivers made $64,290, while the lowest-paid made approximately $23,840.” Obviously, this is a rather challenging job as the person behind the wheel is responsible for a large number of passengers while at the same time making sure they are paying attention to the road and traffic. This driving job may well be one of the most demanding of all driving jobs listed here.
The 2019 Buick Regal Sportback doesn’t only bring new styling to the table. The new car is also larger and up to 500 pounds lighter than the fifth-generation models. It’s powered by a sporty 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which makes 250 horsepower. It also develops 260 lb-ft or 295 lb-ft of torque if equipped with front- or all-wheel drive respectively. The former is fitted with a 9-speed automatic transmission while the latter comes with an 8-speed auto.
