There’s only one place to find these used engines: the venerated Honda S2000. That means someone will have to wreck one and extract its beating heart for you to commit automotive debauchery. But act fast: Honda only built about 110,000 for you to choose from, and we can already think of 50,000 perfect uses for an F20C.
The Hayabusa is the king of cheap speed it’s the fastest cheapest stock vehicle ever made. That’s not surprising when you consider they used engines with a 1300cc displacement, the size of many small car engines. The difference is your Fiesta doesn’t rev to 13,000 RPM.

In fact, the CR trim was only produced stateside for two years (’08-’09) during which only 699 of the planned 2000 examples were made, making this car exceedingly rare.

If you live in a high-commute area, you may actually find some companies that are more than interested in promoting their services or products by placing advertisements on your car. In this case, you would not even need to drive more or less than before. Just stick to your regular driving pattern.
That’s right, this AWD 250 hp and 236 lb-ft hot hatch makes do with a 3.2L V6 in place of the standard 4-cylinder. The power gains aren’t that impressive, but the AWD system and V6 engine certainly make this car a whole other beast.
The tricky thing about the Grand National, though, is that it was seemingly improved upon every year. It started with 200 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque in ’84, and by ’87 it was pushing 245 hp and 355 lb-ft.

EV owners would likely agree that General Motors would be better off investing in their supercharger network rather than investing in the Bolt directly. The small hatchback isn’t capable of making interstate trips as things stand right now not if you’re unwilling to commit to almost a half-day stop for a recharge, in any case. Since its undercutting most of its competitors in terms of price, as soon as GM improves its rapid charging station network, the Chevy Bolt stands a chance of becoming one of the best hatchbacks 2019 will have to offer.
Thanks to its 1.4L 4-cylinder engine, a 101-horsepower electric motor and an 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the A3 e-tron generates up to 201 horsepower. It also allows up to 16 miles of all-electric range and either 34 mpg combined or 83 MPGe. It takes 8 hours to fully charge one, but a 220-volt Bosch charger that comes standard with the A3 cuts that to 2 hours.
The Pontiac Fiero isn’t what most people would describe as exciting. They were overhyped even at the time, and they used engines that always left something on the table in terms of performance. With over 370,000 produced, a Fiero today can be a great platform for one of those shitty Ferrari kits or better yet, a 3800 V6 swap. A modern V6 really wakes these babies up.
Setting that aside these are some of the most reliable used engines available today. Shit, you can build them to over 900 horsepower (turn your sound down). Problem is, they don’t easily fit in most other cars. But you can easily put one…
The Lamborghini Veneno is a modified roadster version of the Aventador that is sharply focused on one thing…flat out speed. The car makes no pretense of having any other purpose for those rich enough and brave enough to own one. Lambo went all out, powering the Veneno with a 6.5L V12 capable of 740 hp and lowering its weight to just 3,280 lbs.
That said, the Grand National is one of the best factory sleepers ever made and you should be able to find one of these crazy cheap cars for around $20k, even though the average asking price seems to be MUCH higher.
